Outlook 2007 backup

I want to transfer the contents from my old sysstem to new. In my old system the path is D:\Users\Santhosh\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst but when i try to copy .reg files and try to install it in new system it shows the above mentioned path is not valid. because this path is not there in my new system. How can i change the path in my old system or how to back up and restore to new sysytem.

Backing up two computers to the same external hard drive

I have a desk top computer and a laptop - both have Norton 360. I want to backup each computer to the same external hard drive. Is that possible...if so - how would I separate the backup files?

HTC Hero

Hi
I am trying to get my sms messages to be saved to my SIM card. Do you know how to do this on an HTC Hero. Also, I have downloaded a back up application from the market place which seems to have saved only some of my text messages. For example from one particular person i have over 200 sms yet only 50 are in google. Do you know why? or more importantly how i can get all 200 over to Gmail
Hoping you have an answer...for a lady that is not too good with technology.
thank you

Linux Hard Drive Backup Problem

I bought a hard drive KARAOKE machine. It has a 1T hard drive with two pertitions. I like to back the whole drive up with another 1T hard drive. I tried Clonezilla (two different versions), both of them stoped with an error message (FS error...). I tried linux dd commend, it says access permision denied for source drive. I guess the source hard drive must be protected. Can anyone tell me how to clone it? Thanks. My linux version is latest ubuntu. I run dd from root.

Norton 360

I can access my folders in the Norton 360 backup but when I click on a folder it just shows it open without listing any files. How do I find the content of the folders? Or could it be that only the folder names were backed up without their content?

Backup Outlook from a drive that's not bootable

I have a drive I am trying to retrieve data from that is not bootable. I need to get Outlook account settings but don't know how since I cannot get to the registry. I was able to get the .pst files, but I know they don't contain the data I need. Any ideas? TIA.

Backed Up but Unable to Add New Content

My wife's Windows XP crashed. She hadn't backed anything up for several weeks so I used Linux to get in and copy some necessary files off to an external HD. I copied all the Outlook2007 files from the Docs&Settings folders. I re-installed Windows XP and Outlook 2007. Then I tried to import my Outlook files including the PST files and all the others. It would not import. Then I simply COPIED the files that I had saved over the existing PST and other files. Bingo! I had all the addresses and her thousands of e-mail messages and her Calendar.

How to backup Windows XP

Simple question: How could I backup the Windows XP system? I would like to upgrade as soon as the Windows 7 will be released, but I am afraid of data loss during the upgrade.

Norton 360 Backup Issue

I have Norton 360 and have accomplished one successful backup in the beginning onto an external hard drive since my files are too large for the online site. However, when I tried to backup files recently, it appears that all the files are put into .db folders instead of into the 360 backup files and I'm at a loss on what to do.

Can you explain what the @db files are and how I can correct my backup settings to make sure I backup correctly? Also, can these .db files be successfully removed from my external drive?
